Weekender
The Imprint weekender is an immersive weekend experience, hosted by Brackenhurst Baptist Church, in which church leaders are invited to observe a healthy church’s operations, learn about their ministry practices, and participate in focused discussions on topics like leadership, community, and biblical living.
Each August, Imprint hosts around forty pastors and church leaders from across the African content for an immersive experience of the inner workings of Brackenhurst Baptist Church.
Just as every Timothy needs a Paul, so every church needs a model.
Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us…. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
You may not implement or even agree with everything you see during your visit, but having this biblical model can help develop a more directed movement in the way you serve and lead in your local body.
The goal of the Imprint weekender is to provide an environment in which leaders can observe and discuss the biblical and practical dynamics of nurturing love and holiness in a local church.
An Inside Look
Attendees observe an elders’ meetings, which offers them insight on the inner workings of a functioning eldership. Participants also attend Lord’s Day services—Family Bible Hour, Sunday morning, and Sunday evening—of the church so as to observe a model of biblical corporate worship.
Educational Sessions
A significant aspect of the weekender is learning from seasoned pastors and church leaders about the challenges and blessings of local church ministry. From instructional workshops to questions-and-answers sessions, attendees will have opportunity to learn about biblical ecclesiology from an imperfect church that is working hard to glorify God in its life and worship.
Ministry Focus
The focus of the weekender is squarely on healthy ecclesiology. The weekender is not a theology conference but an opportunity to learn about church-focused topics like church leadership, church membership, church discipline, gospel community, corporate worship, and local church service.
The event aims to bridge the gap between biblical teaching and practical, pastoral implementation of those principles in a local church setting.
Connection
The weekender provides opportunity for pastors and church leaders to build and strengthen relationships with other churches and church leaders, fostering mutual support and growth.

Do you want to connect with a church that is committed to mentoring other churches, providing them with a model and equipping them with biblical principles for church life and growth? Do you want to be encouraged by fellowship with other church leaders who are seeking to grow and improve their ministry? Consider joining an Imprint weekender.
