Training Opportunities
Purposeful Publishing
Imprint is not primarily a publisher, but a ministry committed to training pastors, with the goal of strengthening the church in Africa. Trustworthy, biblical resources are, however, an indispensable tool in this regard. To this end, Imprint publishes material that furthers its vision of training pastors, and makes the resources that it publishes available through its store.
Preaching Workshops
The Charles Simeon Trust preaching workshop is an opportunity for pastors and church leaders to strengthen their expositional skills. These workshops provide practical training to increase participants’ confidence and ability in rightly handling God’s word, allowing participants to grow in their conviction of the power of the Scriptures and their eagerness to teach it to their people.
Weekenders
The annual weekender is a partnership between Imprint and Brackenhurst Baptist Church, where church leaders from across Africa are given opportunity to experience the life and inner workings of a healthy church. It provides a model by which church leaders can evaluate their own churches and observe and discuss the biblical and practical dynamics of a healthy church.
Conferences
Imprint hosts occasional conferences and workshops to help pastors and their congregations grow in healthy, gospel-centred living. These conferences aim to facilitate spiritual growth, foster Christian community, and offer training and teaching in practical areas of the Christian and local church life. Conferences are by no means the primary focus of Imprint and only serve to further its training goals.

A listener recently posed a challenging question: How and why is it acceptable for some people to be wealthy, to possess material things like expensive houses and cars, whilst others struggle? Should we use our money to help others instead, or can we enjoy what we...

A Culture of Evangelism: Building a Biblical Foundation for Personal and Corporate Gospel Witness
When we think of personal evangelism, we need to think of it as we would any spiritual discipline. We need to practise it and make it part of our daily routine, just as we make reading the Bible and prayer part of our daily lives. Each person is tasked with the...
The Pastor and Self-Discipline: Cultivating Gospel-Driven Self-Control in Ministry
What are the marks of false teachers? What are the characteristics of men who stand against the kingdom of God? Peter describes them as those who “follow their sensuality” (2 Peter 2:2). They revel in the daytime (2 Peter 2:13). Their stomach is a controlling factor...
Spiritual Disciplines for Pastors: Nourishing Your Soul While Feeding Others
When I first began my stint in ministry, as an intern in a church in Nairobi, we were constantly reminded that being in the ministry was like working in a kitchen: The minister labours to produce spiritual food and then serves it to a congregation. Then we were given...
Disciple-making for King Jesus: The Great Commission as an Extension of Gospel Grace
We live in a world of ever-increasing isolation and individualism. Coming to a church gathering is itself an act of defiance to the prevailing culture where we’re encouraged to do what we want when we want. But Christians simply must gather with the church. Why?...
The Prosperity Gospel: A Journey from Deception to Truth
I was converted to Christ in the year 2000. At the time, I had lived as a lifelong Roman Catholic faithful. After my conversion, I sought to move to a Protestant church. The only one that was to be found near our home was an independent Charismatic church. It was at...
What Does a Healthy Church Member Look Like? Six Essential Characteristics for Spiritual Growth and Community
The purpose of this article is not to argue for church membership. I write this firmly believing that formal church membership is scriptural and beneficial, and others have done a much better job than I could at drawing that out that point. My goal here is to briefly...
